Due to our limited time together- your final "exam" will be the completion and the posting of "Your Story" project as well the reflective writing. Please respond to the following writing prompts in complete sentences using proper grammar and punctuation. Each paragraph should have a minimum of 5 sentences.
1. Write a brief summary of your life's story and the process of how you decided to represent it artistically.
2. Describe any problems you encountered and how you solved them. Discuss any decisions you had to make.
3. Are you happy with the final product? Why or why not?
4. Reflect on your journey over the course of the past semester. How have you grown artistically/creatively?
5. Discuss the importance of creativity in education and the workplace.
For my final project on my story I decided to just do a layout of my life. My life has been much like a roller coaster, the biggest and most rickety one. I just wanted to do something simple because my life is really nothing I feel like expressing. I am not really wanting to tell my story to be honest. My whole life has been filled with heart ache and so much stress its unbelievable.
My biggest problem with this assignment was figuring out how to express my life. I had no idea what to use. The decisions that I had to make is what to share and what not to share. I would prefer not to share it with anyone. Having to think through my whole life just makes me so depressed. I thought this project would be an easy way to let go some anger and it really wasn't it just made me think even more.
Im not the happiest about my final project, because I probably could have done something else but it was not an easy project for me. I just could not think of a creative way to do this project. I didnt know how to work iMovie or anything like that. I couldnt think of anything to put on a window. I guess I could have done a little more but, I tried to do the best I can. this entire project was just a struggle for me.
My journey through this class has been very interesting. The first project we did was the playing card, I enjoyed it just wish I executed it better. The same goes for my chess piece that was supposed to be a light house that was a complete failure. My favorite project was the tape mural. I had so much fun with it, even though my group wasn't on the same page the entire time. I like altering things like the wall. I wanted to do so much more with my recipe book too just I hit a big brick wall, or I will see all the things I want to do in my head for a project, but it just comes out so wrong.
I believe that it is so important to have creativity no matter where you are. Whether it is in school or at work. Without some sort of creativeness this life would just be so boring. This world needs more creativeness I think. This planet could use more color, and more art work. You don't have to go paint a picture or draw something directly, but maybe write a story of some sort. Paint a picture with your words. Speak your mind. Don't allow others to tell you no or stop you.
